IN COUNTRY

Based on Bobbie Ann Mason’s contemporary novel about a small-town Kentucky girl trying to come to terms with the death of a father she never knew, in a war which still rages in the hearts of those she loves. In her search for answers, she is able to coax her uncle Emmet, himself a Viet-vet, into revealing the suffering he has buried in his own past for so long, and between them they are finally able to find the solace and enlightenment needed to heal their scars.
